Get started with DurpDeploy
Install DurpDeploy, run your first script, and learn how to manage deployments from your browser.
DurpDeploy runs your Bash, PowerShell, and Python scripts in a repeatable order. Use its web interface to choose a release, select an environment, and follow live logs. You host DurpDeploy on your own infrastructure.
Choose your starting point
- Setting up a server? Start with Install DurpDeploy.
- Already have a login? Follow Your first deployment.
- Deploying to another machine? Read Connect remote agents.
- Something went wrong? Open Troubleshooting.
DurpDeploy is under active development and has no stable release yet. Test your chosen version before using it for production work.
Learn the basic terms
- Project: A collection of scripts and settings for one application or task.
- Step: One script in a project. Steps run in order.
- Environment: A deployment destination, such as
test, staging, orproduction. - Variable: A named value that a script receives, such as an application URL.
- Release: A saved snapshot of project steps and variables, identified by a version.
- Deployment: One execution of a release against an environment.
- Agent: A separate program that runs steps on a remote machine.
Creating an environment does not connect a machine. Server steps run in containers on the server’s execution runtime. Remote steps need a paired agent assigned to the selected environment.
Follow the workflow
- Create a project.
- Add the script steps and variables it needs.
- Create a release to save that configuration.
- Deploy the release to an environment.
- Read the logs and check the result.
Start with the harmless example in Your first deployment. Then replace it with your own scripts.
